This is a Special Fund we started in 2024 to help out a local veteran whose comfort dog had taken ill and was rushed to the emergency vet racking up thousands in bills.
We named the fund after Libby since she was the reason we started this fund.

Our Goal is fund 20% of a Service Connected Veteran's Comfort Pet's Emergency Vet Bill through Fundraising.




Mission
Our mission with this fund is to provide veterans whose comfort animals need emergency care with some financial help.

What Is a Comfort Animal?
A Comfort Animal is defined as a pet that performs the duties of a service animal or emotional support animal without the formal training. This animal would not be covered by the ADA and therefore is in eligible for help financially through other resources such as the VA or DAV.


Who Qualifies To Receive Help?
A Veteran who is Service Connected Disabled through the military
Has exhausted all financial aid
Proof of CareCredit Account

*Those In Need Will need to provide Care Credit information so we can pay them directly
The Goal is to assist with 20% of the emergency vet bill, however this could be less depending on fundraising amounts
